The Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix offers regular walkers snowshoe outings in the high-mountain environment. Set out to explore the astonishing environment of the glaciers of the Vallée Blanche, in the heart of the Mont Blanc Massif.
Roped together with a guide, enjoy a true immersion in the high-mountain environment and admire some of the most handsome peaks in the Alps, such as the Aiguille Verte, the Drus and Mont Blanc. The snout of the Mer de Glace, accessed from Le Montenvers, will introduce you to its famous moulins and glacial rills and help you to understand the lifecycle of the glaciers. The Sky Way cable car on the Italian side of the Massif takes you up to 3500m, onto the Géant glacier, for an unforgettable snowshoe walk towards the Col d’Entrève.

Technical Level 3: For occasional snowshoe hikers, capable of navigating well-defined and slightly uneven paths or navigating off-trail on short, gentle sections.
Technical Level 4: For regular snowshoe hikers, capable of navigating well-defined and rugged paths or navigating off-trail routes on gentle slopes.
Technical Level 5: For experienced snowshoe hikers, capable of navigating off-trail routes on rugged slopes.
