Looking for a unique water sports experience in the Chamonix valley? The Compagnie des Guides offers you the chance to discover the fun of summertime riverboarding in Chamonix. Also known as white-water sledging, this water-based activity consists in descending the course of a river with a board whilst using fins to steer. Enjoy an unforgettable experience as you discover a new kind of water sport on the Arve, that legendary playground of the Mont Blanc region. Manage your own descent in complete autonomy and your instructor’s advice.
Lasting 45 minutes and covering over 6km, learn to play in the counter-currents in a remarkable setting at the foot of the mighty Mont Blanc. This is a white-water sport for beginners and more experienced sportspeople and is guaranteed to get your adrenaline going. We meet at the Compagnie des Guides’ riverboarding water sports base, with its warm showers and lockers, in the heart of Chamonix. The only requirement to be able to participate in riverboarding is to be over 1.5m tall.
